Use SAP Analytics Cloud in combination with MariaDB

Dear all,

we are running a MariaDB V. 10.3 which I want to connect to SAP Analytics Cloud. The latest MySQL JDBC driver (mysql-connector-java-8.0.21.jar) is running in the cloud agent. I thought the compatibility is given to Maria DB 10.3 Can anyone help me out here?

PS: Installing the MariaDB into the cloud agent is unfortunately not an option.
