Upgrade from 10.5.x to 10.6.x mysql_upgrade or mariadb-upgrade not working

I am running a linux slackware distro 15.0 with mariadb that I use for several applications. While performing slackpkg updates in the past, for example 10.4.x to 10.5.x, I would run mysql_upgrade or in lieu run mariadb-upgrade. After the latest slackpkg upgrade from 10.5.13 to 10.6.7 when I run either mysql_upgrade or mariadb-upgrade I get a message advising that this is a major version upgrade and the two aforementioned scripts will not run because of the new version. Do I still need to run mariadb-upgrade and if so do I download it somewhere else manually for the 10.6.x version? Thanks.
