Can we use Hibernate Mysql5 dialect for MariaDB?
We are planning to migrate to Mariadb from Mysql 5.7. We have a hard dependency with Hibernate 3.6 that we cannot upgrade at this time.
Hibernate 3.6 doesn't have dialect for MariaDB. Can we use Mysql5Dialect instead of MariaDB dialect and if so what version of Maria DB would you recommend?.
