The Ultimate Guide to High Availability with MariaDB

Completely Unistall and then Reinstall Mariadb 10.3

Hello Members,

I installed mariadb 10.3 on my Ubuntu 16.04 server, and then managed to break it. I have yet to find a way to get mariadb to re-install, all logins are broken, and root has no access to grants, etc.

I even attempted to install mysql 5.7, but no dice there either. I do not want to rebuild the server from scratch.

Any suggestions? I have tried some methods for "un-install" but those I found searching, have not worked.
